The Number 23

The Number 23
R for violence, disturbing images, sexuality and language
95min
Staring Jim Carrey and Virginia Madsen

The movie is about a man named Walter Sparrow who lives a normal life. One day his wife buys him a book about a man who is obsessed with the number 23. As Walter reads the book he begins to notice similarities between himself and the character in the book. The more he reads the more he, too, gets obsessed with the number 23.

I loved the movie. Jim Carry was brilliant and even brought humor to a thriller-type movie. It was a "thriller" but there wasn't much scariness to it. There were a lot of twists and turns in the story and it kept me wondering the whole time. I would defiantly recommend the movie but not with younger children (it is, after all, rated R). When I left the movie with my friends it was fun to see how many places we could find the number 23. So the moral of the story: if you haven't see the Number 23 yet, go do it now!
